Dizzy will be y/o this year and so he has all the best yet to come. He neck reins like a cutting horse and once you get in the groove with him you can almost ride him by shifting your body/weight in the saddle and he knows just what you want. I would compare him to a great sports car in the way he handles because it almost seems like he's wearing the trail instead of just going down the trail. His intuition kind of reads your mind once you really get in sync with him so the rides are just incredible.
There seems to be no terrain that he can't easily handle and he's so surefooted that it seems like you are glued to the trail. He will gladly walk down slowly on a relaxed rein but he doesn't mind gaiting for as far as you may want to go and he also has a nice relaxed short lope that cold calling list you can use once you really get used to him. I would describe Dizzy as confident, cool headed, steady as a rock in any situation to which I have ever exposed him and he has been asked for quite a lot from time to time while playing off the trail in the rough stuff. I think who ever is lucky enough to spend their life with him will fully agree that while eights and nines are fine, nothing beats a perfect.

ll of our Tennessee Walking Horses for sale and Spotted Saddle on country roads and trails, around cars, trucks, tractors, ATV's, eighteen wheel Tyson Chicken trucks, etc. and are exposed to as many different obstacles as possible. Our trail rides consist of uphill and downhill, creeks and water, rocky and muddy, and sometimes roadside riding, so that the horses for sale will be versatile and experienced on trails.
Our gaited trail horses are never ridden in "long shank bits", "gag type bits", "twisted wire bits", or any other harsh style of "Walking Horse" bit. Each of our gaited trail horses are taught to work first in a plain "snaffle bit" with no curb strap/chain for a very light touch. Only when they fully know and understand what is expected are they finished off with a very mild "Argentine" style bit for that last little bit of primping.
We represent any Tennessee Walker for sale or Spotted Saddle Horse for sale as honestly and accurately as possible. Potential buyers have the option, and are welcome, to come and test ride any horse and have a pre-purchase exam before horses leave Evening Shade Farm. We are not professional horse traders and do not make our living selling gaited trail horses. Lisa is a Registered Nurse and I work with the School System. Consequently, the selection of gaited trail horses for sale that you will find on our site will be limited to only the caliber horse that we would personally keep forever because our goal is to offer high quality gaited horses, not quantity.
While many of the gaited trail horses for sale are raised and started right here at Evening Shade Farm, we also search out quality gaited trail horses. These are not horse sale, trade, or consignment horses, but carefully selected and purchased by us from individual owners. We look at many different aspects of the gaited trail horses we consider, and ultimately the decision comes down to one all important question; "Would I purchase this gaited trail horse for my own personal companion?".
